7.0 HP Petrol Generator

Place the generator on a flat, level surface to ensure proper operation. Attach a suitable earth lead to a good earth, such as a water pipe or ground spike, to ensure the generator is earthed.
2. Adding Fuel and Oil
Adding Fuel: Use only PETROL fuel. Unscrew the fuel tank cap and fill with petrol up to the maximum level mark. Do not overfill.
Adding Oil: Use SAE 10W.30 grade oil. Unscrew the oil inlet cap and fill with oil, checking the level with the dipstick. Do not force or rotate the dipstick in the engine.
3. Starting the Generator (Electric Start)
1. Turn the key to the 'ON' position. 2. Set the fuel lever to 'ON'. 3. Set the choke to 'CLOSE'. 4. Turn the key to 'START' until the engine starts, then release it to return to 'ON'. 5. As the engine warms, set the choke to 'OPEN'.
4. Starting the Generator (Manual Recoil Start)
1. Turn the key to the 'ON' position. 2. Set the fuel lever to 'ON'. 3. Set the choke to 'CLOSE'. 4. Pull the cord to start the engine. 5. As the engine warms, set the choke to 'OPEN'.
5. Operating the Generator
Warm up the engine without load for approximately 3 minutes.
Check for abnormal vibrations, sounds, or exhaust gas color. If any issues are detected, switch off the generator.
6. AC Operation
1. Increase engine speed to maximum using the engine speed lever. 2. Check the voltmeter for 230V +/- 5%. 3. Connect appliances, starting with the largest load. 4. If the AC circuit breaker trips, reduce the load.
7. DC Operation
1. Disconnect the negative cable before connecting to the generator. 2. Start the generator. 3. Connect the charging cable to the terminals and then to the generator. 4. Disconnect cables at the generator first after charging.
8. Stopping the Generator
1. Reduce engine speed to its lowest using the engine speed lever. 2. Run the engine without load for approximately 3 minutes. 3. Set the engine speed lever and fuel lever to 'STOP'. 4. Turn the ignition key to the 'off' position.
9. Maintenance
Remove the spark plug lead before maintenance.
Change oil when the engine is warm.
Check and clean the air filter regularly.
Check battery fluid monthly.
Clean and replace the fuel filter as needed.
