Safety Advice
• Ensure you have read and fully understood the instruction manual and safety advice before using this product.
• This product is intended solely for creating a secure outdoor enclosure for domestic dogs and must not be used for any other purpose.
• This product is intended for use by competent adults only. Children and unauthorised persons must not assemble, modify or operate the dog run without supervision.
• Select the correct panel spacing based on the size, breed and behaviour of the dog being housed. Incorrect spacing may allow animals to escape or create a risk of trapping paws, limbs or other body parts.
• Do not use the dog run for animals that may fit through the panel gaps or become trapped between the bars.
• Before assembly, inspect all panels, doors, brackets, fixings and components for damage, sharp edges, defects or missing parts.
• Wear suitable protective gloves and appropriate footwear when handling and installing panels to reduce the risk of cuts, abrasions or impact injuries.
• Handle panels carefully during installation and avoid contact with exposed edges or unfinished metal surfaces. The risk assessment identifies sharp edges, burrs and unfinished metal surfaces as a foreseeable hazard during assembly or handling.
• Do not use panels or components if sharp edges, damage or defects are identified.
• Install the dog run on a suitable stable and level surface capable of supporting the structure securely.
• Secure all panels using the supplied brackets and fixings, ensuring all bolts and connections are correctly tightened before use.
• Do not use the enclosure until all panels, supports and fixings have been fully installed and checked.
• Regularly inspect fixings, connections and support components to ensure they remain secure.
• Do not modify the structure, remove support components, drill additional holes or make alterations that could affect stability.
• A poorly installed or unsecured enclosure may collapse, detach or allow animals to escape. The risk assessment identifies panel instability, collapse or detachment due to incorrect installation or insufficient fixing as a foreseeable hazard.
• Keep fingers, hands, paws and limbs clear of panel joints, gaps, hinges and moving gate components during assembly and operation.
• Do not allow children to play with the gate, climb on the panels or use the enclosure as play equipment.
• Check that the gate operates correctly before allowing animals into the enclosure.
• Ensure the gate latch is fully engaged before leaving animals unattended.
• Regularly inspect the gate hinges, latch and fixings for wear, damage or loosening.
• Do not use the dog run if the gate cannot be securely closed or if any locking components are damaged.
• Ensure the enclosure size and configuration are suitable for the dog using it.
• Do not leave dogs unattended if they repeatedly attempt to climb, chew, force or damage the enclosure.
• Regularly check for damage caused by animal behaviour, including bent panels, damaged fixings or weakened sections.
• Inspect the galvanised coating regularly for damage, corrosion or areas where steel has become exposed.
• Remove dirt, debris and moisture-retaining materials from the panels and fixings to help prevent corrosion.
• Do not use damaged or corroded panels, fixings or structural components.
• Repair or replace damaged components before allowing continued use.
• Position the dog run away from hazards that may encourage climbing, escape attempts or impact damage.
• Do not use the dog run as a barrier, storage structure, shelter or restraint system for purposes other than containing suitable domestic dogs.
• Use appropriate lifting techniques when moving panels during installation.
• Larger panels should be lifted and positioned by two people where required to reduce the risk of manual handling injuries.
• Keep the assembly area clear of obstacles, tools and packaging materials during installation.
• Do not allow children or animals into the installation area while the dog run is being assembled.
• Dispose of damaged components and packaging responsibly in accordance with local waste regulations.
• Retain product information, purchase records and supplier details for traceability purposes.
