If the bin has a soft-close lid, allow it to close naturally—do not force it shut.
Regularly check and clean the pedal mechanism to ensure smooth operation and prevent dirt or debris buildup.
Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials when cleaning the bin to prevent damage to surfaces.
Ensure bin liners are properly fitted and do not interfere with the pedal mechanism.

1. Maintenance

Regularly wipe down the exterior of the bin with a damp cloth and mild detergent to remove dirt, stains, and fingerprints.
Clean the interior of the bin frequently with warm soapy water to prevent odours and bacterial buildup. Ensure it is fully dry before reassembling.
Avoid using abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or harsh chemicals, as these may damage the bin’s surface or finish.
Check the foot pedal mechanism regularly for any dirt, debris, or blockages that may affect its function. Clean gently with a soft brush or cloth if necessary.
Lubricate the pedal mechanism lightly with a silicone-based lubricant if it becomes stiff or difficult to operate. Avoid using oil-based lubricants, which may attract dust and dirt.
Ensure bin liners are properly fitted and do not obstruct the lid or pedal mechanism, which could lead to improper operation.
