Safety Advice

Ensure you have read and fully understood the instruction manual and safety advice before using this product.

  • Only use the pizza oven outdoors in a well‑ventilated area; never use indoors, in enclosed spaces, or under low‑hanging structures, as serious fire or carbon monoxide hazards may occur.
  • Place the oven on a stable, heat‑resistant, non‑flammable surface, ensuring it cannot be tipped or knocked over during use.
  • Maintain a safe clearance of at least 1.5 metres from walls, fences, trees, overhanging branches, awnings, or any flammable materials.
  • Keep children, pets, and anyone not directly involved in cooking at least 2 metres away from the oven while it is in use or cooling down.
  • Never leave the oven unattended while it is lit or cooling; residual heat can remain extremely high for several hours after use.
  • Only use the fuels specified for this product (wood, charcoal, or pellets) and never attempt to burn other materials, liquids, or accelerants such as petrol, lighter fluid, or spirits.
  • Light the fuel safely using appropriate fire‑starting aids designed for wood, charcoal, or pellets. Never use chemical accelerants.
  • Always use the built‑in thermometer to monitor the oven’s temperature and take care when opening the door or inserting/removing food, as sudden heat release can cause burns.
  • Use the provided pizza peel and heat‑resistant protective gloves when placing or removing food from the oven. Avoid wearing loose clothing that may catch fire.
  • Ensure the pizza stone is fully cooled before handling, as it retains heat for a long time and can cause serious burns.
  • Do not exceed the maximum operating temperature of 400°C as indicated by the thermometer; overheating can damage the oven and create safety hazards.
  • Add fuel gradually and carefully to avoid flare‑ups or sparks.
  • Keep a bucket of sand, a fire extinguisher suitable for solid fuel, or a garden hose nearby in case of uncontrolled fire. Do not use water directly on the pizza stone or hot metal, as rapid cooling may cause cracking or warping.
  • Do not attempt to move or transport the oven while in use or until it has completely cooled.
  • Use correct manual handling techniques when lifting or moving the oven. Bend your knees, keep your back straight, and lift with your legs rather than your back to reduce the risk of injury.
  • Due to its weight, always use two or more adults to lift, move, or assemble the oven. Never attempt to carry it alone.
  • Remove the pizza stone and any loose parts before lifting the oven to reduce overall weight and prevent accidental damage.
  • Do not place the oven on unstable or uneven surfaces where it could shift, fall, or cause injury.
  • Inspect the oven, pizza stone, and peel before each use to ensure there are no cracks, defects, or signs of wear that could affect safe operation.
  • Empty ashes only once they are fully cold. Dispose of them in a metal container kept away from combustible materials.
  • Clean the pizza stone and oven surfaces only after they have fully cooled. Avoid using water directly on hot surfaces to prevent thermal shock and damage.
  • Store the oven in a dry, sheltered outdoor location when not in use to protect it from weather damage. Covering with a breathable, fire‑retardant cover is recommended once fully cooled.
  • Regularly check and clean ventilation openings to ensure proper airflow during cooking and to prevent dangerous smoke buildup.
  • Follow all local regulations regarding outdoor cooking, open flames, and fuel storage.

1. Maintenance

Ensure you have read and fully understood the instruction manual and safety advice before performing any maintenance on this product.

  • Always allow the oven, pizza stone, and all components to cool completely before beginning any cleaning or maintenance tasks.
  • Inspect the oven, chimney (if applicable), pizza stone, and pizza peel before each use to ensure they are free from cracks, warping, or other damage that could compromise safe operation.
  • Check that all external and internal surfaces are free from excessive ash, grease, or fuel residue. Build‑up can obstruct airflow and increase fire risk.
  • Empty the ash pan or firebox only once ashes are fully cold. Dispose of ashes in a metal container kept away from combustible materials.
  • Clean the pizza stone only after it has cooled fully. Use a stiff brush or scraper to remove food residue; do not immerse a hot stone in water, as this can cause cracking.
  • Avoid using soap, detergents, or chemicals on the pizza stone, as they may absorb into the stone and affect food safety.
  • Wipe down external metal surfaces with a damp cloth after the oven has cooled. Dry thoroughly to prevent corrosion.
  • Periodically check for rust or corrosion, especially if the oven is stored outdoors. Remove surface rust with a wire brush and treat affected areas promptly to prevent deterioration.
  • Examine the built‑in thermometer regularly to ensure it is clean and working accurately. If it becomes damaged or faulty, replace it before further use.
  • Check all screws, bolts, and fittings at least once a month to ensure they remain tight and secure. Loose fittings can affect stability and safe operation.
  • Inspect door hinges, handles, and latches for wear or damage. Lubricate moving metal parts sparingly with a high‑temperature‑resistant food‑safe lubricant where required.
  • Clean and check any ventilation openings before each use to ensure proper airflow and to prevent smoke or carbon monoxide build‑up.
  • If the oven includes a chimney, inspect it regularly for blockages such as soot, ash, or debris, and clean thoroughly when needed.
  • Do not paint, coat, or modify any internal cooking surfaces, as this may release harmful fumes or compromise safety.
  • Store the oven in a dry, sheltered location when not in use. Once fully cooled, covering with a breathable, fire‑retardant outdoor cover is recommended to reduce weather damage.
  • During periods of extended non‑use, remove and store the pizza stone indoors in a dry environment to reduce the risk of cracking from damp or frost.
  • If moving or transporting the oven, remove all loose parts (including the pizza stone and peel) to prevent damage during handling.
  • Replace any damaged or worn components immediately with manufacturer‑approved parts. Do not attempt to operate the oven with missing or makeshift replacements.
  • Arrange for professional servicing or inspection if you suspect structural damage, severe corrosion, or malfunctioning temperature controls.
