Product Information Galwix Racking System The Galwix Racking System is a storage solution suited for garages, warehouses, stock rooms and workshops. This racking is made from heavy duty steel and is 100% bolt-less, making it easy to assemble and only requiring the use of a rubber mallet. The galvanised finish makes this racking durable and it will maintain its excellent condition for even longer. The Galwix Racking Unit can even be halved to create two work benches or smaller shelves. Safe Working Practice Please read through the safe working practice to ensure prevention of injury or damage to the device. Do not use the Galwix Racking in areas of high temperature or humidity as the MDF boards are untreated and may warp or become uneven. Do not use corrosive cleaning equipment when cleaning your Galwix racking as this may erode the paint. Do not exceed the shelving capacities, detailed on the Specification page. Please Note: These capacities are based on the weight distributed across the whole shelf. Always keep the weight evenly distributed to avoid damage to the rack or MDF and to prevent the rack from falling over. Wear gloves when assembling this shelving to protect your hands. Be careful when using a hammer to assemble these Galwix Racks. Ensure that each beam is properly hammered into place before continuing with the assembly process. Be sure that each MDF board is slotted into the shelf correctly before you begin storage on the racking. Organize and Prepare Parts Group all parts together and lay them out on the floor for easy access during assembly. 2. Attach Feet to Upright Beams Attach the 4 moulded feet to the end of 4 L-shaped upright beams. 3. Create U-Shaped Frames Take two L-shaped upright beams and attach a short beam across the bottom to connect them, forming a U shape. Push the T-bar locking mechanisms into the slots on the upright beams and hammer them into place. Repeat this process with the other two upright beams. 4. Connect U-Shaped Frames with Long Beams Repeat again with two long beams, this time across the front and back of the rack, connecting the two U shapes together. Ensure all beams forming each shelf are level to maintain a straight shelf. Slot the central shelf support before adding the MDF board for each shelf. Add First Shelf Slot one MDF board into the metal shelf to complete the first shelf. 6. Do not use corrosive cleaning equipment when cleaning your Galwix racking as this may erode the paint.

1. Organize and Prepare Parts

Group all parts together and lay them out on the floor for easy access during assembly.

2. Attach Feet to Upright Beams

Attach the 4 moulded feet to the end of 4 L-shaped upright beams.

3. Create U-Shaped Frames

Take two L-shaped upright beams and attach a short beam across the bottom to connect them, forming a U shape.
Push the T-bar locking mechanisms into the slots on the upright beams and hammer them into place.
Repeat this process with the other two upright beams.

4. Connect U-Shaped Frames with Long Beams

Repeat again with two long beams, this time across the front and back of the rack, connecting the two U shapes together.
Ensure all beams forming each shelf are level to maintain a straight shelf.
Slot the central shelf support before adding the MDF board for each shelf.

Please Note: Please treat the MDF boards with varnish or mould prevention products to prolong the life of the product.

5. Add First Shelf

Slot one MDF board into the metal shelf to complete the first shelf.

6. Build Additional Shelves

Repeat the process on either side of the rack, first with two small beams for the sides, then with two long beams for the front and back.
Slot another MDF board onto the second shelf.

7. Attach Beam Connectors

Attach a beam connector to each of the upright corner beams by pushing the T-bars into the slots and hammering them into place.

8. Attach Remaining Upright Beams

Attach the remaining 4 L-shaped upright beams to the connectors.

9. Complete Shelf Assembly
