Safe Working Practice

Please read through the Safe Working Practice to ensure prevention of injury or damage to the product.

  • Do not use this product for anything other than its intended purposes.
  • Wear appropriate PPE such as safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots, and hard hats when using the load leveller.
  • Check the load leveller for any signs of damage, wear, or corrosion before each use.
  • Ensure all bolts, nuts, and other fasteners are tight and secure.
  • Ensure the load leveller is properly attached to the lifting device before use.
  • Securely fasten the engine to the leveller using appropriate lifting points and hardware.
  • Adjust the load leveller to balance the engine load evenly before lifting.
  • Confirm that the load is stable and secure before lifting.
  • Never stand or walk under a suspended load.
  • Lift and lower the engine slowly and smoothly to avoid sudden movements.
  • Avoid swinging the load and keep it as close to the ground as possible during movement.
  • Make sure the operator is trained in the safe use and operating procedures of the load leveller.
  • Recognise that the use of this product may require special skills and knowledge.
  • Do not overload the load leveller; exceeding 900kg can cause damage or failure.
  • Inspect the load leveller for any signs of wear, damage, or corrosion before each use. Remove it from service if damaged.
  • Discontinue use of the load leveller if it has been subjected to a shock load, such as a sudden drop.
  • It is recommended that qualified personnel conduct an annual inspection of the load leveller.
  • Do not use the load leveller if under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  • Use only slings or chains with a rated capacity greater than the weight of the load being lifted.
  • Do not make any alterations to the load leveller.
  • Ensure that children and bystanders are kept at a safe distance when the load leveller is in use.

1. Weight Limit Warning

Ensure the max weight capacity of 900KG is not exceeded!

2. Attaching the Load Leveller

Important: Ensure the max weight capacity of 900KG is not exceeded!

  • Attach the engine load leveller to a workshop crane by hooking the crane to the mounting eyelet.

3. Positioning the Leveller

  • Position the leveller vertically over the load to be lifted.

4. Adjusting the Angle

  • Use the crank handle to adjust the angle of the leveller.

5. Attaching the Load

  • Attach the hooks of the chains to the load to be lifted.

CAUTION! The angle of the hooks must not exceed 60°!

6. Lifting the Load

  • Once the load is securely attached, it can be slowly lifted using the crane.

NOTE: When lifting vehicle engines and transmissions, ensure the hooks of the leveller are engaged at the designated hook points!

7. Storing the Load Leveller

  • Store the load leveller in a dry, clean area away from corrosive substances.
  • Ensure the leveller is stored in a manner that prevents it from falling or being damaged.

8. Lubricating Moving Parts

  • Regularly lubricate moving parts to ensure smooth operation and extend the lifespan of the load leveller.

9. Conducting Maintenance Checks

  • Schedule periodic maintenance checks to ensure the leveller remains in safe working condition.
